All Words, No Action!

X-news!

Bahria University students had “planned” to hold a peaceful protest and to wear black arm bands to condemn the recent suicide attacks in the International Islamic University but it seems that all the support that had gathered few days back has ebbed away! According to a poll, which was conducted on by the X-news, 95% students had agreed to wear black arm bands but only 10% were actually wearing them in the University today.

BACSAP had arranged hundreds of free arm band but their efforts too could not gather any support.

yea it is sad bt i’ll tell u smething… i myself directd sme faculty members to get the band frm bacsap office… what i mean is, they weren’t aware themselves… 2ndly i cudnt get the band frm bacsap office myself bcz the office was close when i went there… 3rdly it wud b ALOT better if u set up a table outside new cafe, bcz its a public spot nd wud create awareness… it wud b gud for the campaign as well as bacsap… im very much into these kinda stuff in our uni soo i knw better… but in the end its totally up to u…

Main reason was that BACSAP office was closed all day!

yeah… i agree with shaggy @ salman. BACSAP office was close, but i saw bacsap members going around the campus distributing the bands… anyways, you guys are right, they should have a desk or something in front of cafe so that everyone could see them and get a black arm band..

Shaggy and Salman, i agree with u both but team BACSAP has distributed around 150 black ribbons all over the campus but hardly 30 or may b 40 were wearing them n most of the people were literally playing with the ribbons. BACSAP people can just provide ribbons, they can’t force anyone to wear or get serious about it. Its not only BACSAP which can bring change, Its time for all of us to show our love n care for Our country n its people. I hope you people understand what im trying to explain.

Yesterday for a moment I felt as if I was the only person wearing a black band on my arm in the university..!!

whatever people.. like wearing black ribbons on your arms will stop the bombing eh? so what even if everyone does wear it… then what? will the admin actually give a shizzz about it? they probably even wouldnt know… what we need is a beefed up security.. the guards barely check our cards.. anybody could make a fake card and enter our uni and blow us up! we need some better security measures cause damn i see a whole lotta weird people in uni these days who look like they are just ready to say “ALLAH HO AKBAR”
    KABOOM!

    huh
why there was no condemnation when there was an attack in peshawar…………….why not when there was in lahore………………why condemn only after attack on islamic university……….because it gave us a feeling that now we can be victims too………………………………..stop these double standards
