Rector of Bahria University visited the library of Bahria University Islamabad Campus today. He was furious at the staff as the library records were not well maintained. The rector also asked a female student about the availibilty  of books in the library.

There was a huge crowd of  “black suited & tied” students at the Bahria University today. These students had come in agood  hope to grap a “job” or an “internship” at one of the top 22 companies in the capital of Pakistan. There were about 200 students who tried their luck but according to Bahria Career Office only 50 students were shortlisted.

The feedback from the companies was , some what, mixed. The computer related companies could not get enough “computer students” to interview. There were some great reviews as well. One the senior members of the interview panel of a reputed company who had come to Bahria for the first time told X-news that Bahrian are among the top students in the whole country!

The one day table tennis tournament  which was arranged by BBA 6 students came to an end today. The players and the spectators enjoyed this double-tag tournament. Imran & Matahira won the tournament and Ferheen & Umair stood second!

Students and faculty at Bahria University Islamabad continue their effort for the collection of funds. The fund raising had officially started yesterday and about 9000 Rupees had been collected. Second day started with a new enthusiasm and they was an increase in fund collection teams. The final count at the end of the second day now stands at about 56,000 Rupees. This fund collection for the Swat Refugees would continue for two more days.

Students of Bahria University Islamabad campus have started a campaign to raise money and to collect necessary items for the refugees of Swat. This is a three day campaign and is coordinated by Bahria’s Student Resource Centre (SRC), Bahria Career office and Bahria faculty Ms. Zehra Rehman and Ms Tooba Shakoor.
