FAST Lahore was able to lift the spirit of participants who were let down by the poor management of LUMS IEEE Branch. This event, which was herald by LUMS as the “biggest ever”, was poorly received by the participants and the visitors alike. The week long event’s second half was scheduled at FAST, Lahore. The IEEE Branch of FAST was able to create a buzz in students and lift the spirit of participants. The Campus of FAST was decorated with banners and posters, all the events started on schedule and above all, FAST was able to provide “IEEE” environment!

There have been two blasts in the International Islamic University few minutes ago. 20 feard dead. Bahria University Islamabad Campus is closing at 4:15 pm today and will remain close for the next two days.

Student Resource Centre will soon appoint new Chief Coordinators, it is learnt! SRC administers six student clubs and each club is headed by a chief coordinator.

The “regular working days” are over as it was the last day of the current semester. Final exams are starting from 8th June, Monday! A recent “underground” poll by X-team has revealed that about 31% students have NOT started their exam preparations yet!

Almost 300 Bahrians joined the students from other educational institutes to witness live action between Manchester United and Barcelona.  This is for the first time that a company-sponsored football match was “put on show” for students.

The final of UEFA cup between the top clubs started at 12: 45 am but still two out of five of the halls were packed with football fans and many students had to wait in queues!

Students really appreciated Telenor Djuice for sponsoring this action packed event but there were few complaints as there had been more invitations sent out but the sponsor than the actual number of seats available at Cinepax.
